Gordon Thomson (Tom) Burke, 89, of Naples, passed away July 15, 2015 after a brief illness.
He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, April 7, 1926, to Dr. Gordon and Frankie (Houlton) Burke. Tom served in the Canadian Army and US Army during World War II. He received his Bachelor of Fine Art’s degree from the Hollywood Art Center in 1952. Tom spent his life doing what he loved, painting abstract art, and his work is part of several major corporate and private collections.
He is survived by three children, Julie Harrison of Cambria, CA, Kent of Naples, Victor (Susan) of Monroeville, PA and a grandson, Aaron of Monroeville, PA.
A Bahá’í Faith graveside service was held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave. N. Naples.
