He loved his family and his country. He was a Sergeant in the Army during World War II. He moved his family from West Virginia to Florida in 1971. He was a general contractor until he officially retired at the age of 85. He loved his family and provided for them until his last breath. He also enjoyed fishing.
Edward was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice and a son Mark E. Armstrong (4/21).
He is survived by his children, Susan J. Williams, Penny D. Armstrong, Cindy J. Peppers; grandchildren Tina M. Barbera, Staci R. Allen, Keith R. Williams, Kristen M. Lingo; great-grandchildren Whitney M. Palmer, Corey Palmer, Jaxton Allen, Jaden Allen, Chance E. Lingo; great-great-grandchildren Airiana Palmer, John Palmer, and Valerie Palmer.
A funeral service for Edward will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Naples Christian Church, 8000 Goodlette Frank Rd, Naples, FL 34109. Interment will follow in Naples Memorial Gardens.
