Beverly “Bev” A. Sullivan, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Sharon, Massachusetts, passed away on March 10, 2022. Bev was born October 18, 1938 in Boston, Massachusetts to Lanscott and Jean Colbert (nee Greco) and grew up a member of a very large Boston family, amongst many cousins, aunts and uncles, before marrying her husband of over 67 years John A. (Jack) Sullivan and eventually moving to Sharon, Massachusetts where she raised five boys – John L. (Jake) Sullivan, Naples, Fl, Michael A. (Rocky) Sullivan, Canton, Ma, Thomas E. Sullivan, Holbrook, Ma, Paul J. Sullivan, Norfolk, Ma and Patrick F. Sullivan (Julie), Wrentham, Ma.
Bev was also the proud “Nana” to nine Grandchildren – Patrick, Jeanne, Joseph, Tiffany, Sean, Mary, Jake, Emma and Caroline, as well as a Great Grandmother to fourteen great grandchildren – Tiana, Jazzel, Ziomari, Thais, Damaris, Yazmin, Yailene, Marco, Thalia, Devon, Trevor, Kharma, Allister, Tobias and three great-great grandchildren – Giana, Zeniya and Jiovanni.
Aside from her family, Bev’s passions were cooking, baking, visits to the casino, bowling, bingo, mahjong and sports. She was an avid Boston sports fan and loved to watch her beloved Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins, never losing faith, even when the score pushed others to believe otherwise.
In the eyes of her family, Bev will always be remembered as the Captain of the USS Sullivan, that kept our family afloat, the Elmers glue that held us all together and a remarkable testament to a strong marriage and hard work. She was truly a great Wife, “Mum”, Nana and Great and Great-great Grandma, whose passing has left a hole in many hearts, but also countless thoughts and remembrances that will eternally bring a smile to our faces.
