Benjamin R. Mintz

On Monday January 30, 2023, Benjamin R. Mintz, loving spouse and father, passed away peacefully at age 94. Ben was at home with his devoted wife, Christy by his side. In addition, Ben’s children Caren Mintz, Bob Mintz and Kelly Kalli were with him during his last days.

Since childhood, Ben was a self-made entrepreneur, go-getter, with No, as not an option. He meticulously thought through how he was going to accomplish his goals. As a young child, Ben had a Lemonade stand, which wasn’t like most ordinary Lemonade stands, along with selling things from his wagon. These things were precursors of his hard-work ethic and industriousness. His hard-work brought him from Brooklyn, NY to Long Island, NY, Asheville, NC, Marco Island and Naples, FL. Ben was able to enjoy many adventures around the world, which also showed his desire for life-long learning, curiosity and appreciation for life.

After serving in the military, Ben devoted himself to his work, and education with the goal to prepare himself for success in business. He enjoyed reading books; magazines; the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Ben was a life-long learner with a generous spirit of helping others to find their own success. Among those who have interacted with Ben know his word was as good as gold.

He is survived by his loving wife Christy (Darlene) Mintz, children, Bob Mintz, Caren Mintz, Kristi Mintz, Kelly Kalli, Kevin & Qi Linderman, sister, Selma Levenstein, as well as, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Isidore and Fannie Mintz, his brother Philip Mintz and son, Myron Mintz.

A Private Family Burial will take place on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023 at Palm Royale Cemetery. A Reception will follow for friends and family from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Treviso Bay Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to AVOW Hospice in Naples, FL. or Habitat for Humanity in his memory.
