She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Denny, Sr.; son Gregory Todd Drake; son John P. Denny, Jr.; as well as one brother, Charles Sullivan and two sisters, Margaret Kirkendall and Kathleen Gross.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Stephen Drake of Lebanon, OH and David Michael Drake of Islamorada, FL and two grandsons, John P. Denny III, and Robert Jacob Drake.
Upon moving to Lexington, KY in 1976, when her husband was transferred, she became active in many organizations. She volunteered at University of Kentucky and held offices in many auxiliary programs, becoming Auxiliary President and also President of UK Economic Development Counsel.
She also participated and held offices in Lexington Lioness Club, Tates Creek Homemakers, Republican Women of Lexington, Bunco Club, Shovel and Hoe Garden Club.
In 1983 due to another transfer, she and her husband moved to Cherry Hill, NJ. As an auxiliary volunteer in West Jersey Health System, Evesham, NJ, she was honored as a member of the 3000 Hour Club. She earned 3000 hours in less than 3 years.
Moving to Naples, FL in 1989, Alleen became employed at Barnett Bank, 5th Ave. in the customer service area. Approximately five years later, she became a teller at Radio Rd., Berkshire Branch of Bank of America.
In 1998, she was hired as an Administrative Assistant in Administration and Pastoral Care at NCH Downtown. She retired August 2013 from NCH. Upon retirement she became a volunteer at Physicians Regional, Pine Ridge Rd.
There will be no formal Funeral or Memorial Service in accordance with her wishes. Burial Arrangements and Burial will be handled by Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens in the Memories Section (525 111th Ave. N., Naples, FL 34108).
