He was survived and lovingly remembered by his family: wife Cherie, his high school sweetheart of 52 years, son Dean Morris, daughters, Nicelle (Drew) DePatie and Candace Morris; grandchildren: Kaiden, Kenadee and Matteo. He was predeceased by his mother Rose (2018) and father Steve (1994). He will also be adoringly remembered by his siblings: Bob (Deri), Jim (Sandy), Joanne (Jim) and David as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nick was born and raised in Nanaimo and will be remembered by many friends and family as a devoted, hardworking family man. He had a love for music and from a young age picked up the guitar/bass and played in the band the “Invaders.” Many artists were his favourite but he was mostly known for his passion of Elvis and the oldies. He worked many years for CPRail and latter, EN Dayliner. He also volunteered his time as a firefighter and as a soccer coach. He loved to fish, garden, bowl, make wine, and Cherie’s cooking, but most of all he loved his family more than anything. He was known for his soft, gentle and compassionate heart of gold and will be deeply missed.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of life and interment will be at a later date.
