Lillian Carol (Hill) Lilly

Lillian Carol Hill Lilly, born in Nacogdoches, Texas December 17, 1930 died December 13, 2019 in Nacogdoches. She is preceded in death by her Father, Vernon Hill, Sr., Mother, Mina Hill, brother, Vernon Hill, Jr. and sisters Maridell and JoAnn.

She graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1948.

Married to Lynn Lamar Lilly, Sr. for 71 years. They lived in Houston for 50 years and she was a member of South Main Baptist Church. She graduated from The University of Houston and taught First Grade at Elrod Elementary School and then Parker Elementary School in Houston for over 20 years.

Lillian and Lamar returned to their home farm in Nacogdoches, Texas in 1998. She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, Texas where she taught Sunday school. She had a passion for music and sang in the church choir. She was a lover of gardening and was a member of the Daylily Club.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Lynn Lamar Lilly, Sr. of Nacogdoches, sister, Marjorie Pittman of Dallas, three children, Lynn Lamar Lilly, Jr. and wife Linda of Houston, Candace Lilly Hughes and husband Paul of Nacogdoches and David Hill Lilly and wife Gail of Houston. Grandmother to Lynn Lamar Lilly lll, Julie Hargis, Jason Hughes, Ann Lilly Quick, Joseph Hill Lilly, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be handled by Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, December 20th from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday December 21st at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel at 2:00 PM. Graveside services will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery, FM 2112. Pastor John Withem officiating.

Pallbearers: Lynn Lamar Lilly lll, Jason Christopher Hughes, Joseph Hill Lilly, Joshua Quick, Paul Durrett and Tommy Chandler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Kirk, A.L. Johnston, David Chalker and the ladies in her Shady Grove Sunday School Class.
