She was born November 25, 1924, in Guy, Arkansas, to parents Lewis Calvin Allen and Velma Erie Lieblong Allen and had formerly lived in Houston before moving to Nacogdoches County in 1970. Elois enjoyed crocheting and other craft projects. She also enjoyed traveling and was a member of Monaco RV Club. She was a member of Chireno Baptist Church.
She was married to Darnell A. Brogan for 47 years before his death in 1990. Elois and Bill Lovett were married in 1993.
Her survivors include her husband, Bill Lovett of Nacogdoches; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Debbie Brogan of Nacogdoches; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Vernon LeBlue and Sue and Al Zienko, all of Black Jack community, and Linda and Tim Young of Garrison; sisters, Louise King of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and Betty Fincher of Pineville, Missouri; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friends, Pete and Ruth Sargent.
Funeral services have been set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches. Interment will follow at Lower Chireno Cemetery, located off FM 95 in Chireno.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 1, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
