Emma was born October 20, 1929 in Sylva, North Carolina. As the oldest girl in a large family, she took on the responsibilities of caring for the younger children when her own mother passed away at an early age. After graduating from Webster High School in North Carolina she moved to Texas where she married George in 1952, and began her profession as a hair stylist.
Emma enjoyed interior decorating, growing Christmas cactus for the Bonita Methodist Church annual sale, antiquing at flea markets and being around young children. She was loved by the many piano students that congregated at the Corley household in Weatherford, Texas. Emma and George built three new homes together, and retired to Nacogdoches in 2000.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Annie Dietz; sister, Peggy Bradley and brothers, Paul, Walker, Freeman and Billy Dietz.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George Campbell Corley; daughter, Cindy and husband Arthur Crapsey; grandson, Campbell Crapsey; sister, Edith Dykes; brothers, Sammy, Mike and Morgan Deitz; and many beloved nieces and nephews

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Rock Springs Cemetery by Rev. Rick Anderson at 10:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to visitation on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 5:00PM- 7:00 PM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors located at 5400 North Street Nacogdoches, Texas 75965.
