Wayne K. Taylor

Mr. Wayne K. Taylor, age 84, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012. He was born in Battle Creek, MI on July 7, 1927 to John and Katherine (Wright) Taylor. Wayne is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rosanne (Colleur); 10 children, Carolyn (Ron) Varilek, Robert (Marge) Taylor, Doug (Tammy) Taylor, Cindy (Dave) Morris, Zann (Dave) Duff, Pam (Jeffrey) Werth, Karen Jo, Karl (Kim) Schlehuber, Mick Jarrard and Thom Trumble; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen (John) Havens and Joyce (Frank) Cowans; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a granddaughter, Cameo Lynn. Wayne had worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture for 20 years retiring in 1981. He then owned and operated Dalton Hardware and Twin Lake Hardware until 1995 when he became a zoning administrator for Whitehall Township. Wayne was a U.S. Army Air Corp. Veteran. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Montague United Methodist Church, 8555 Cook St., in Montague. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Rosanne.
