Vickie Roberta LeGrow, age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, November 27, 2023. Born in Jackson, Michigan, Vickie dedicated herself to service by joining the Army in 1975, serving until 1981 with an E-5 rank and NCO status, on active duty stand-by during the Vietnam era.
Vickie cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, engaging in various board games, story books and other activities. She took joy in watching her daughter and son in-law cook, garden and can vegetables, showcasing her love for homegrown produce. Vickie was a talented and giving soul, finding pleasure in sewing, crocheting, knitting, and watching movies. Many people were blessed with receiving knitted gifts from her that they will always cherish.
She is survived by her daughter, Naomi (Chris) Rose, son Steve (Chrissy Barnard) LeGrow, grandchildren Christopher Rose and Austin Rose, granddaughter Hailey Sullivan, and great-grandchildren Sofia Sullivan, Jordan Sullivan, Addison Sullivan, and Kayden Sullivan. Vickie is also survived by her brother, Don (Susan) Lucas, and sisters, Janet (Alfredo) Alaniz and Ona (Scott) Irey, along with numerous other family members that she loved dearly. Vickie has made many friends in her lifetime, including her lifelong friend Pam Lamb.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert William Lucas and Julia Ann (Patrick) Lucas, as well as her nephew Frankie M. Richter, niece Lori Parker, niece Vonda Payeur , grand niece Nikki Kenworthy, and grand nephew Justin Hamden.
Cremation has taken place, and a private burial will be held at a later date. During this difficult time, we remember and celebrate the life of Vickie Roberta LeGrow, a woman of many talents who will be greatly missed.
