It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Erika Schaub, on March 2, 2023 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was 88 years old.
Mrs. Erika Nowak Schaub was born in Bremen, Germany in Mayof 1934. She was the daughter of Richard and Johanna Nowak. She met her future husband, Urban, while he was serving in the US Army in Erika’s hometown Bremen. They became engaged and Erika followed Urban home 6 months later to Suttons Bay, Michigan where they got married. She lost her beloved husband Urban in 2015.
Erika leaves behind many loved ones including her daughters Judy (Jeff) Marcinkowski and JoAnn Mahal, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Erika was preceded in death by her son Wayne and brother Helmut.
In keeping with Erika’s wishes, a private family service will take place.
