Doreen Scott

Doreen Scott, age 74, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at her home. Doreen was born on August 30, 1940 in Muskegon to parents Joseph and Vivian (McWilliams) Eller. She worked at EH Sheldon for 12 years and for 10 years at EBW, where she retired. Doreen enjoyed golfing, working in the yard year round, and she loved her time with her puppies. Doreen was married for 50 years to the love of her life, Vernon Scott, who preceded her in death. Doreen will be lovingly remembered by her special great niece, Lisa Betz; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren: Angela (Alex) Small, Patrick Rapson; sisters-in-law: Gloria (George) Woldring, Betty (Ed) Blanchard; step-daughter: Vicki (Glen) Dome; special friends: Tom and Genia Rapson; dog, Tuffy; and many other special friends. She was preceded in death by: husband, Vernon; both parents; siblings: Dorothy Taylor, Helen Shaw, Robert Eller, William Eller; twin brother, Donald Eller; puppy: Casey. A memorial service will take place at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon) followed by a luncheon at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00pm. Memorial contributions may be given to the Muskegon Humane Society in Doreen’s name.
