Mrs. Diane Elizabeth Holland, age 62, passed away at her home surrounded by family, on Saturday, May 14, 2011 after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born in Muskegon on October 10, 1948 to Gerald and Maxine (Witham) Martin. Diane is survived by her husband of 33 years, Marvin; children, Scott (Tracie) Holland of Twin Lake, Steve Holland of Toledo, OH, Shannon (Sam Brown) Horness of Palm Bay, FL and Jason (Wyndi) Horness of Seattle, WA; 8 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Faith (Roger) Knudsen and Lorie (Paul) Nygard, both of N. Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Diane was a retired hair dresser from the Hair Chalet in Muskegon. She enjoyed spending her winters in Florida and her summers at the lake with her grandchildren and family. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Dalton Baptist Church, 3777 Holton Rd. in Muskegon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice or Harbor Hospice.
