Dennis was born December 5, 1956, the son of Gerald and Betty (Wilbur) Harris. He served his country proudly in the US Army. After his time in the military he worked as an HVAC installer for the majority of his career. On Sept 4, 1993 he married the former Carol Newman. Dennis loved working on classic Hot Rods. He was often referred to as the “Tin Man” because of his ability to fabricate sheet metal. He was a driven, big hearted, strong, independent man who instilled the same values in his children. He will be deeply missed.
Dennis is survived by: his wife, Carol; children, Heather (Josh) Pope, Joy (Michael) Rankin, Stephanie (Scott Gustafson) Kenney; grandchildren, Ayden, Dakota, and Ellie; brother, Robert (Janey); sisters, Geraldyn “Sis” (Larry), Beatrice (Dan), and Valerie; as well as, many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and brother, Paul.
In keeping with his wishes, Cremation will take place and public services will be held at a later date.
