  Connie "mom" was the best mom a daughter n law could have. She picked me out for Randy and he excepted the challenge. She loved me as one of her own. She could finish my sentences even when I didn't want her to and some times her finishing them wasn't right. Big joke with us. Hope Elivis is all he's cracked up to be

Having known Connie for many years, first through her travel and then again meeting up at Hackley during our volunteer time, I can only say it was my honor and pleasure to have been included in her wide circle of friends.  The smile was contagious and listening to her "twang" will be greatly missed.

Connie was a very close friend of my mother, Pauline Steffens.  I knew Connie, and her kindness and sense of humor is, I am sure, what made them friends.  I am so sorry for your loss; may you find peace in your memories!  Judy Yonker

Randy, Steve and families, Sorry to hear of Connie's passing.  She was a great lady and good friend for life.  I worked at McDonalds with her for many years and did see her regularly at Comerica Bank after that.  She totally loved people, she would talk to everyone and loved to laugh.  I will miss hunting down the Elvis birthday cards for her and will always remember the explosive personality she had for everyone she met. Take care my dear friend!

Randy and Jo, I am so sorry for your loss.  The best thing that I remember about your mom is her laugh and the fact that she brought you two together.  What an awesome woman!

Connie and I met 40 years ago when we worked at McDonald's, and became very good friends. Our husbands passed away 19 years ago within 4 months of each other. We have had so many good times together. Connie always had something funny to say about our many experiences.Will miss her so much. Love you Connie

       Just wanted to let you know that i have been trying to get a hold of you to get either your e-mail or phone number so i could pay my respects for your beloved mom. Your mom and dad were lifetime friends with my mom and dad, Nancy and Forrest Downhour. I had the pleasure of talking to your mom awhile back and she told me her and my mom had been best friends since the third grade. I am sure that your mom and my mom are getting ready to go to an Elvis concert right now. Remember no pain or sickness or sad tears in heaven , only joy and peace safe and secure in Gods mansion in the sky like God promises. Her love for you and Randy will live on forever. Connie was a very caring, giving neighbor and friend and will be missed by all of of us. Our deepest condolences from our family to hers.

Randy, I was so sad to hear about the death of your mother.  It seems that she touched many lives and spent a lot of her time helping others. I am certain she will be missed by many people.  I am praying for you and your family.  May God comfort you in this sad time.

Connie will be forever with us whenever we hear laughter, see a smile, or when we see Elvis.  She was a joy to know and everyone loved her.  I will miss her and I know she will be missed by everyone that knew her.  We have lost a wonderful woman but Heaven has definitely gained one, and I am sure there is laughter and a party going on in Heaven because she is home.

Even tho I graduated with Connie in 56 at KHS, I never knew her, but was reacquainted on 'Class Mates", and she spent time with Betty and me at our  45th class reunion. She was  so happy and fun to be around..Just wish we could have met her sooner. She will be missed. Our prayers are with the Family.

Words cannot express what Connie meant to me. She was not only my sister, but also a very loyal friend.  She was the one constant in my life.  She came to my rescue many times and never passed judgment.  We talked weekly but only got to see each other once or twice a year.  She taught me so much (some good behavior and some not so good).  We always laughed alot and she was the one person that everyone wanted to be around.  You couldn't anticipate what would come out of her mouth and cause such hysterics! I can't imagine my life without her but I know she is in a better place and with the other people she loved so much!

I Came to know Connie thru her volunteering at Hackley Hospital. A wonderful, kind, and a happy person who always had a smile on her face. My prayers are with your family. Sincerely, Lois Gray
