Barbara Jean Swanson

Barbara Jean Swanson, age 76, passed away unexpectedly and rose into the arms of the Lord on Good Friday, April 18, 2014. Barbara was born on April 11, 1938 in Montague, MI. She enjoyed playing cribbage with her friends at Crosswinds Senior Center, volunteering at several organizations, and the relationships she built while attending Fellowship Reformed Church and Orchard View Congregational Church. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her children: James F. (Melissa) Flannery Jr., Vicki (Skip) Passenier, Jacqueline (Steven) Schrader; step-daughter, Christine (Don) Hudson; grandsons: James F. Flannery III, Joshua (Mary) Schrader, Kyle L. Passenier; granddaughters: Amanda L. Flannery, Heather (Melissa) DeNio; great granddaughters: Scarlett Schrader, Penelope Schrader; great grandson, Alex DeNio; siblings: Louis Baker, Steven (Lynn) Baker, Elizabeth (Ron) Brown, Mark (Cathy) Baker, Mary Cousins; sister-in-law, Judy (Janice) Pearce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lee Swanson; brother, Charles Baker. A memorial service will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon) with a luncheon to follow at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
