She had an older brother Vincenzo, (they called him Jim) whom she admired greatly and a younger sister Gina (who went by Jean) who she always tried to take care of.
Her entire family moved from Pennsylvania locating to Los Angeles California when she was 17 years old.
She was married only once to Fred Kuenzie and for 56 years.
Mary worked in catering most of her life. Her best/last job was managing the catering department for 650 lawyers at Gibson, Dunne and Crutcher, a legal firm downtown Los Angeles.
Mary lived in Los Angeles with her family until her special needs daughter Darlene passed away in 1970. The family then moved out to the San Fernando Valley. When Fred and then Mary retired they moved to Riverside County eventually settling into Sun City. When her husband Fred passed on Mary continued to live in Sun City where she had many friends. She lived alone until almost 90 when she moved out of her townhouse that she cared for herself.
Mary then lived happily at Sun City Gardens until a medical procedure brought her to The Springs Health Care for rehabilitation.
There after a few months Mary passed on peacefully at the age of 91.
She leaves behind two sons James and Freddie, she had a wonderful daughter Darlene whom only lived to 20.
There are four Grandchildren; Kevin, Robin, (from Freddie) twins Jackson and Olivia (from James and his lovely wife Holly) and Grandaughter Christine (from her son Freddie and his second wife) that she was never able to meet.
Her Nephew Brandon and two Nieces Cindy and Gina (from her brother Jim) and their spouses, children and extended families all meant the most to her. Her sister Jean had one son, Derek.
Mary loved to talk. Once a cell phone got put in her hands she easily made 100’s of calls a week, ask her son James. She Travelled all over the country and Europe and loved hosting her huge family for home cooked Holiday meals.
Mary lived life fully a day at a time.
