Jerry Lena Davis

Jerry (Jerre) Lena Davis (Swope), 85, graduated to Heaven peacefully in her sleep during the morning hours on Sunday, November 24, 2024, after a courageous battle following a significant stroke in October 2016. She fought like a warrior against all odds, always focused on her love of family above all else.

Jerry was born in Goshen, AR, on April 27, 1939 to Lela Lucile Tilly and Vernon Swope. She grew up with three sisters (Lela, June, and Jesse) and two brothers (John and Don).

In 1958 she married her sweetheart Gerald Allan Davis (2019), and they remained committed to each other through all life’s joys and challenges. Together Big Jerry and Little Jerry had four children: Brett, Brian, Jay, and Vicki. In turn, Jerry was blessed with many grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. They brought her more joy than imaginable!

Holidays were Jerry’s favorite times, and though she desired to stay out of the limelight, she wanted to share her joy through big celebrations to bless everyone. She was the embodiment of selfless love, putting others before herself. Although she treasured her family foremost, she showed kindness, compassion, and generosity toward everyone she met.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, brother, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many friends whom she stayed close to her entire life.
