William “Bill” Lindsey Easley, age 70, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at his home. Bill was the son of the late Samuel Lindsey and Marye Frances Rider Easley. Bill is survived by his wife, Sheila Jones Easley; children, Kari (Travis) Ferrell, Aron (Mandy) Easley, Tara (Bill) Holmes, Sandy McKinney, Stephanie (Todd) Most and Stewart Robert Sisson; grandchildren, Kadence Gordon, Brenna Ferrell, Austin Easley, Maggie Easley, Maisie Easley, Elizabeth Holmes, Destiny (Daniel) Williams, Daniel Most and Nicholas Most; great grandchildren, Oliver Monroe and Parker Williams; sister, Yonna (John) Rowntree; nephew, Joshua (Chelsea) Rowntree. A graveside service to celebrate Bill will be at Two O’clock the afternoon of Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was dear to Bill’s heart. He served many years in the Bishopric calling, several additional callings serving the Priesthood, young men’s leadership, missionary development, and other volunteer works. Bill and his loving wife, Sheila, successfully pursued their dreams of a Real Estate career in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. He greatly enjoyed his hobbies supporting his favorite football team the University of Tennessee Volunteers, fishing and wildlife, and traveling whenever time allowed. Bill cherished the quiet peaceful times he was able to spend with his beloved family and friends. Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy in the Mediterranean for multiple tours as a Corpsman.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church: Missionary Fund via the West Fork Ward, of Smyrna, Tennessee.
