Pamela Joyce “Pam” Paffhausen, age 64, of Smyrna, Tennessee and formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at her home. Pam was born in Grand Rapids to the late Cecil and Shirley Jaarda Decker. She is survived by her husband, Steve Paffhausen and daughter, Jamie Paffhausen (Ange Austin) of Smyrna, TN; son, Wayne Paffhausen (Forrest Hill) of Roswell, GA; brothers, John Decker (Debb Decker), Ken Decker and Rich Decker.
Pam was always active with family, friends and community. She ran an in-home daycare as a young mom, become a Girl-Scout troop leader, a HS band-mom and an avid crafter/creative woman. A majority of her professional career was spent in the medical profession with most of her summer weekends relaxing on their boat.
A service for Pam will be in the Spring of 2025 in Michigan and will be announced once it is planned. Donations can be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
