Carol Sanders Jenkins, age 80, daughter of the late Oscar Leslie and Katherine Eaton Sanders, died Wednesday night at her home. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joe; and sons, Brian (Mary Lou) Jenkins of San Antonio, Texas and Scott (Suzanne) Jenkins of Murfreesboro, TN. She was preceded in death by brothers, Oscar and Don Sanders of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Jenkins was a 1954 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. An employee of the DuPont Company and Reemay Inc., she made her home in Old Hickory for many years. Upon retiring, she and her husband moved to Murfreesboro, where they currently reside. She was an active member of the Almaville FCE club. A woman of many talents, she excelled in ceramics, oil painting and needlework. She was also an avid reader. But most of all, she was a tender, loving wife and mother who will be grievously missed by all those she loved and by those who loved her. Friends are cordially invited to visitation the morning of Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from Ten O’clock till Twelve noon at Roselawn Funeral Home.
