Mrs. Johnnie Faye Winsett Willis, age 93, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on the evening of Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John Macon and Hazel Lorene Nichols Brogdon and preceded in death by her first husband Pierce Winsett and son, Ricky Winsett. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James Clyde Willis; daughters, Brenda Johnson, Judy Smith and husband Barry and Sonja Mason and husband Hugh; son, Randy Winsett and wife Cheryl; sisters, Sandra Kemper and husband Donald, Pat Jackson and Candy Moffitt; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Macon, Geraldine, Betty, Bonnie, Elwood, Mary Alice, Larry and Joe.
She was a devoted Christian mother of five always providing love, support and prayers to all. She loved her family, gardening, sewing, crotcheting afghans for the family and decorating for the holidays.
Graveside services to celebrate Mrs. Willis will be at 3:30pm on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Bro. W.D. Thomason officiating. Visitation will also be on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 1:30pm till 3:30pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Randall Winsett, Jeremy Winsett, Keith Winsett, Ben Spielman, Michael Romans and Jimmy Johnson.
Memorials may be given to Gentiva Hospice, Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation, or to the charity of your choice.
