Edward Eugene Bottoms

Edward Eugene Bottoms, age 68, of Rockvale, Tennessee, formerly of Smyrna, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Homer A. and Elizabeth Porter Bottoms. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah Bottoms; children, Tonya Lasser and husband Brian, Shalaunda Leveque and husband Wayne, Angel Ellis and husband Greg, Brandon Bottoms and wife Janelle, Jennifer Lance and husband Dallas, Lisa Roberson and husband Dennis and Timmy Segars and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Ayla, Dalton, Devin, Marty, Jennifer, Cristian, Caitlin, Abby, Gregory Hunter, Austin, Addison, Greyson, Beau and Noah; siblings, Jean Guye, Herman Bottoms, Vernon Campos, Judy Morris; brother in law, Terry Segars; and he was a father figure to many nieces and nephews.

He proudly served his country in the National Guard for 16 years as an E-5 Buck Sergeant with the 194th Engineers. He worked at Smyrna Ready Mix as a truck driver and dispatcher, for 18 years until his retirement in 2020. He was a HUGE Tennessee Volunteers fan, loved family get togethers and he loved to play cards. He was a devoted husband, father, Gumpy and BumpA’ to his loving family.

Memorial service to honor Mr. Bottoms will be at Three O’clock the afternoon of Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Roselawn Funeral Home with Jeff Hollingshead officiating. Family and Friends are to visitation also on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from One O’clock until the service begins at Three O’clock.
