David received multiple Department Letters of Commendations, a personal “Thank You” for his actions on a fire from former Mayor, Tommy Bragg, and most recently, he received a City STARS Award from our current Mayor, Shane McFarland, for the selfless actions he showed toward an elderly lady, after he responded to her emergency.
David loved being a Murfreesboro Firefighter, which was evident every shift. Everyone enjoyed working with David. He was leaned on by his peers for his strong knowledge in our job, his leadership, his positive attitude, and also for simply being a pleasure to work with.
David loved to share stories around the firehouse about his wife and kids who he was so incredibly proud of, rarely was there a conversation when he didn't bring his family up.
