Ronald was born on December 29, 1936, the son of Paul and Louise Lackey. A proud 1955 graduate of Selma High School. He married the love of his life, Shelva, and they shared sixty-four years together.
Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. Stationed in Japan, Guam, and Honolulu, he served as a radio man, contributing to the defense of his nation.
Throughout his life, Ronald exemplified selflessness and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. A lifelong learner, he had a passion for all things technical, scientific, and historical. His curiosity knew no bounds.
Ronald’s professional journey led him to a career at ABB Westinghouse, where he retired after thirty years of service. In addition to his professional achievements, Ronald had a love for the skies. He experienced his first solo flight in December of 1985. His legacy of love, and a thirst for knowledge will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Shelva Lackey; three daughters, Cinda (Don) Priddy, Lana Stamper, and Ronda (Larry) Snider; grandchildren, Derek (Kara) Priddy, Dustin (Jessica) Priddy, Megan (Derek) Bohm, Cody Stamper, Joe Snider, and Skye Snider; great-grandchildren, Clint Priddy, Jacob Priddy, Wyatt Priddy, Garrett Priddy, Sadie Priddy, Jordan Priddy, Kaydin Priddy, Felix Bohm, Gwen Bohm, and Brinkley Snider.
