Patricia E Kennedy

She was born Wednesday, March 26, 1941, in Muncie, the daughter of Robert F. and Harriet E. (Lyons) Whiteside. Patricia was kind and loving and enjoyed spending time with her family, and her grandkids. She loved decorating for all of the holidays, especially Christmas. She was an avid “collector”, loved nature, liked feeding and watching the birds, writing poetry, and sharing her quirky jokes. Patricia worked as a receptionist for R J Whitinger for twenty-seven years.

Survivors include her children, Jay (wife, Christa) Kennedy, and Amy (husband, Rocky) Johnson; brother, Robert “Bobby” (wife, Pat) Whiteside; sister, Joyce Young; grandsons, Cameron Johnson, and Kyan Johnson; nieces and nephews, Melinda (husband, Bruce) Gregory, Robert Whiteside, Karen Whiteside, Rick (wife, Kathy) Oren, and Beth (husband, Mark) Thompson; and two grandnephews.

Her parents, Robert F. and Harriet E. Whiteside and a niece Kathy Rix preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Bethel United Baptist Church, 301 North Eastwood Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47303 with Pastor Lee DeWitt officiating.

Elm Ridge Funeral Home has been entrusted with Patricia’s arrangements.
