Marian L. Puckett, 73, Muncie, passed away Tuesday morning, November 10, 2020, at her home. She was born Monday, March 24, 1947, in Muncie, the daughter of George and Gretchen Jett. Marian grew up in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central High School. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family, especially her grand kids and great-grandkids. Marian loved her family and going to family reunions. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens and canning what she grew for her family. In her spare time she also liked to sew, cook and bake. Survivors include her sons, David Puckett, and Scott Puckett; daughters, Kim Puckett, and Lori Puckett; half-son, Mark Puckett; half-daughter, Annette Puckett; grandchildren, Morgan Puckett, David D. “D-Jay” Puckett Jr., Kristopher (wife, Danielle) Dowd, Kari Dowd, Daniel Logan, Camron Logan, Peggy Brooks, Angel Evans, Bunny Summerland, Krystal Miller, Josh Miller, Bridget Miller, Tiffany Marroquin, Scot Puckett, and Stephanie Puckett; great-grandchildren, Addy Puckett, Abby Puckett, Declan Dowd, Aria Dowd, Emery Logan, Colten Wynn, Jackson Dunn, Kenna Roswell, Tristan Puckett, Ava Puckett, Victoria Evans, Jordan Evans, Zoe Evans, Jamahl Evans, Alexander Summerland, Andrew Summerland, Melina Summerland, Elizabeth Puckett, David Puckett, Kobie Puckett, Jaxson Puckett, Alexus Marroquin, Gabriela Marroquin, Micah Marroquin, Brandy Miller, Zaleck Miller, and Zander Miller; brother, John Jett Sr.; sisters, Sue Small, and Janet Jones; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gretchen Jett; her husband, Fred Allen Puckett, who passed away on October 26, 2006; brothers, Byron Jett, and Ed Jett; sister, Maggie Briggs; and great-granddaughter, Makayla Summerland. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2020, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. It was her wish not to have a funeral service. Private burial will be in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Due to the COVID 19 PANDEMIC a mask is required at the funeral home.
