She was born Friday, January 31, 1930, the daughter of Monroe and Ethel (Craft) Anderson in Stearns, Kentucky.
Ella was a homemaker and had also worked for Marhoefer Packing for twenty-seven years.
She was a devout Christian and a member of Bethel United Baptist Church and enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, crocheting, quilting, sewing, walking, traveling, gardening, but most of all spending time with her family.
Ella is survived by her husband, Price McIntosh; daughters, Patricia (Kerry) Zebendon, Ruth (Bob) Stassen, Pam Baker, Kathy (Steve) Blair, and Carol (Bill) Gensler; step-son, Gary McIntosh; eighteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Hubert Phillips; one sister, four brothers, one grandson, one great-granddaughter, and step-daughter, Gwendolyn Williams.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. John Peterson, Dr. Sabir Bahrami, Dr. Sharief of the St. Vincent Cancer Center of Anderson, as well as the Oncology and Hospice staff of I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion to Ella during her illness.
The family would also like to extend their sincere appreciation to Ella's special care giver Wendy Mace.
Services will be Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Rev. Randy Gross officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
