Connie Rae Terry, 73, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, January 24, 2023.
She was born in Muncie, Indiana on August 4, 1949, the daughter of Melvin and Madeline Sewell. Connie graduated from Selma High School in 1967 and married the love of her life, Donald Terry, on February 21, 1970. Connie was a proud member of Old Town Hill Southern Baptist Church and lived a life of putting the Lord first. She enjoyed scrapbooking and making cards for her friends and loved ones, but her favorite thing to do was simply being at home spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. They were her heart.
She is survived by her loving husband, Don; son Greg (Holly) Terry; daughter, Amy (Bruce) Mahoney; grandchildren, Grant Terry, Jacob Terry (fiancé Shelby Peterson), Madison Terry, Kelsey Mahoney, Samuel Mahoney, and bonus grandson Brett Gibson; sisters, Sandra (Bill) Shady and Pamela (David) Painter; as well as brother and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Ronald and Louise Terry, and her brother Bobby Sewell.
Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Old Town Hill Southern Baptist Church, 3000 S. Burlington Drive, Muncie, Indiana 47302.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the church with graveside services immediately following at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Old Town Hill Church Building Fund.
