Roy "Bud" Robert Davis

Roy “Bud” R. Davis, age 84, of Whitesburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Johnson City Medical Center. Bud was an avid fisherman and gardener. He served in the US Army and was a member of Robertson Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Davis; grandsons, Tracy and Donnie Bullington; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Bella Bullington.

Survivors include his children, Cindy (CL) Irick, David Davis, Dan Davis and Johnny (Angie) Davis; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and special nephew, BR Davis.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Scott Farmer officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday morning for a 9:00 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be: Joey Davis, Logan Davis, Cody Davis, Wesley Bullington, Bradley Johnson, Mark Crawford, and Steven Chrisman.

Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital or Children’s Hospital.
