Richard Lee Godby Sr.

Richard Lee Godby Sr, age 68, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2020. He was a member of The Bridge Church in Rogersville. He served in the United States Army 32nd Signal Batallion. Preceding him in death was is father, Jerry Godby; and mother, Ruth Leppard. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharlene Godby; children, Rick Jr. (Felicia), Billy, Angel (Josh), Amber (A.J.), Destiny (Anthony); grandchildren, Ethan, Sarah, Wyatt, Austin, Dakota, Amelia, Austin Lee, Marcus, Jeffery, Austin Ray, Melodee, Anna, Shelby, Tristen, Anthony (Tessa), Emmett, Tamber, Dylan, and Tamika; great-grandchildren Alillyah, Kaylee, Sawyer, Athena, Madeline, and McKinnley; siblings, Shirley, Randy, Mike, John, Linda and Tina; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 21 from 3:30-7:00 p.m. at The Bridge Church. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. John Godby officiating.
