NORMAN H. BLACK, age 88 of Morristown, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was retired from Magnavox and Forrest Products. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He was a member of Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Everett and Viola Black and infant daughter. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rita Black, children, Collin Black and wife Linda, Linda Lamb, Debbie Everhart and husband Frank and Gary Black and wife Joy; stepchildren, Gary Ball and wife Pansy, Gail Austin and husband Charles, Harold Ball and wife Sherry and Timothy Ball and wife Terrie; uncle, Glenn Hartman and wife Ruby of Greeneville; several grandchildren and host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Shipley officiating and Eulogy by Dana Honeycutt. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens with a Military Graveside Service with VFW Post #5266 officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday night December 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Wellmont Hospice on Stone Dr., Kingsport, TN.
