Mary Elizabeth (Coffey) Gilliam

Mary Elizabeth Coffey Gilliam, age 82, of Mohawk, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dora Coffey; grandson, Scott Hayes; brothers, Charles and William “Bill” Coffey; and sister, Lois Cobble. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clarence R. Gilliam; children, Marvin (Tammy) Gilliam, Carroll (Carolyn) Gilliam, Danny (Kathy) Gilliam, Dianna (Rufus)Johnson, and Kathy (Randy) Williams; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson; special friends, Sally Parker and Margaret Bullion; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Donnie Myers and Rev. Jimmy Hubbard will officiate. Family and friends will meet at Stubblefield Funeral Home Thursday morning at 9:45 a.m. to go to Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening prior to the services at the funeral home. The family extends a special thank you to the staff and nurses at the Heritage Center.
