Lorene C Ward

Lorene Ward, age 67, of Morristown, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Hancock County. She was preceded in death by her parents, General Lee and Axie Carnes; brothers, Leonard, Silas, Bob, Jay, and Kenneth Carnes.

Survivors include her loving husband, Danny Ward Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Kim Ward; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Steve Johnson; grandchildren, Joshua, Caitlyn, and Aaron Johnson, and Jaiden Ward; mother-in-law, Gladys Alexander; twin sister, Pauline Bright of KY; sisters, Ruby Ely, Doris Asher, and Opal Martin all of TN, Alice Cheek and Wilma Gray of KY, Shirley Beamer and Mary Akers of OH, and Ebby Gray and Genny Gregory of IN; sister-in-law, Marty Pritchard of KY; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Tommy Bowlin and Rev. Clifton Wilmoth officiating. The Welch Family will be singing. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery. Her nephews will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday at Stubblefield Funeral Home.
