JANIE DARLENE SPENCE McLEAN, age 53, of White Pine, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, November 7, 2011 after an extended illness. She was born on June 25, 1958 to Clayton and Mattie Spence. Her mom was sick, so R.S. and Martha Buell (aunt and uncle) picked her up at the hospital when she was 3 days old and raised her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Mattie Spence and R.S. Buell; brothers, Clayton Jr and Stevie Spence. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Fred (Freddie) McLean, daughter, April (Jacob) Shaffer; son, Scott Spence; granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Kristyn; mother, Martha Buell; brothers, Johnny Darrell Spence and Ronald Buell; sister, Joan (Teddy) Walker; sister-in-law, Ruby Spence; special pet, Snoopy her dog; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Vincent Askew and the Rev. Samuel Tipton officiating. Family and friends will at 10:50 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Dalton Cemetery in Thorn Hill for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown, Tennessee.
