Georgia A. West

Georgia West, age 83, of Morristown, claimed the promise of everlasting life with Christ Jesus on Friday, January 1, 2021 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher at Roe Junction Baptist Church. She had a passion for her family, her church and for home making. Mrs. West owned and operated Morristown Beauty Center on West Main Street. Preceding her in death was her husband of 57 years, Gary West; her parents, Vacie Mullins Seals and John Alvis Seals; brothers, John and Ralph Edward (Spud) Seals; and sister-in-law, Wanda Seals.

Survivors include her daughter, Renee (Stephen) Murphy; son, Gary Stephen (Lou Ann) West; grandchildren, Nathalie, Austin and Erin Murphy, Sydney and Lydia West; brother, Laughton (Sharon) Seals; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at their convenience from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Monday, January 4, 2021. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Mrs. West’s nephew, Dr. Craig Seals, Rev. Jason Lemka and Rev. Gene Nelson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Roe Junction Baptist Church Building Fund.
