Rev. George Ramsey

George was Pastor at Big Springs Primitive Baptist Church on Lone Mountain Road in Tazewell,TN. He loved his Church dearly and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He worked for 30 years at Berkline before it closed.

He was preceded in death his parents, James and Eva Ramsey, brothers Rev. John Ramsey and Rev. Tommy Ramsey, sisters Rosie Cope and Ann Bull.

He has left behind his wife Deborah (Debby) Ramsey of Morristown. Mother in Law Brownie (Granny B) Nichols. Two sons; George Scott and Misty Ramsey of Tazewell and Christopher Ryan Ramsey of Morristown, Four daughters; Tammy Lee and Waylon Williams, Belinda Faye Goins and Brandon Widner of Tazewell, Rebecca Ruth Nichols, De Anna Baxley of Morristown; his precious grandchildren; Gary Bunch Jr, Brandon Bunch, Blake Ramsey, Alston Williams, John David Goins, Natasha Goins, Ashley Goins, Elisha Goins, Carmen Williams, Kassie Ramsey, Jassimine Ramsey, Caitlyn Baxley and Taylor Baxley. He is also survived by his Two sisters; Piney Stevens and Jessie ( Bruce) Singleton; both of Morristown. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great great nephews who loved Uncle George along with several cousins. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. All those that lived the life he did will see him again.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Stubblefield Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Seals and Rev. Bill Angel officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens following the service Monday. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
