Emma Billie Davis

Emma B. Davis, born November 29, 1928, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest O. Davis; son, Albert L. Davis; grandson, Dustin Keith Davis; parents, Wil and Alice Stanifer; brothers, Robert and Beverly Stanifer; and sister, Onalee Green. She is survived by her children, Gladys (Benny) Williams, Herbert (Ann) Davis, F. D. (Betty Susong) Davis, David (Betty) Davis of KY, Shirley McCosh, and Eva (Todd) Long; daughter-in-law, Ada Davis; grandchildren, Eric Davis, Stacy Davis, Lisa Daniels, and Jeanie Davis; great-grandchildren, Scott Blair, Ashley Jarnigan, Tyler, Cody, Marlie and Mazie Davis; great-great-grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, and Peyton Daniels, all of Blaine; great-great-great-grandchild, Cayden Davis; brother, Frank (Emma) Stanifer; sisters, Margaret Redmond, Yvonne (Joe) Bryant, and Aileen Redmond; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Terry Sizemore officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Friday at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. entombment service in the mausoleum. The family would like to thank Dr. Gupta for the special care he gave Mrs. Davis over the years and to her special nurses: Michelle Mottern, Katie Osgood, Jennifer Bowlin, and Ida Baxter, whom they love like family, for giving her the wonderful care over the years. Services are under the direction of Stubblefield Funeral Home.
