He proudly served as a veteran in the US Navy.
Duane was saved by the grace of God and was called into the ministry shortly thereafter. He served in several East Tennessee churches and in Florida. He later attended Carson Newman College, earning a degree of Divinity.
Deanie and Duane were members of Bulls Gap Baptist Church in Bulls Gap where they were always surrounded by a loving church family.
Duane was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Rogers, father, Miles Hale, sister, Frances Williams, brother, Jack Webb and the mother of his children, Betty Evans.
Duane is survived by his loving wife, Deanie Evans for 33 years of Bulls Gap, son: Rick (Penny) Evans of Morristown; daughter: Peggy (Lynn) Sheets of Morristown. Grandson: Josh (Sydney) Evans of Morristown. Step-sons: Bryan Chadwick Everhart and Travis Lee Everhart both of Kentucky. Three great grandchildren: Wade, Jayley and Olivia. Brothers: Bob Webb and Caroll Webb of Morristown. Nephews: Jason Webb and special nephew: "Little Jack Webb" of Morristown.

His family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home with funeral services following. Rev. Paul Winchester officiating. Graveside services will be in Hamblen Memory Gardens at 3:00 pm, Friday, February 23, 2024.
