.Charles Emory Anderson, age 83 of Morristown departed this life on August 12, 2011 at Lakeway Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with heart disease. He was born on January 1, 1928 to Charlie and Jalie Anderson of Kyles Ford, TN.
Emory was a member and trustee of Westview Baptist Church in Morristown. He was saved at an early age at Davis Chapel Baptist Church in Hancock Co. A faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Emory was a member of The Smokey Mountain Antique Engine and Tractor Club and The Fly Wheelers Club and enjoyed restoring and showing John Deere and Allis Chalmers tractors. He retired from BASF in 1990 after 31 yrs of employment.
Proceded in death by parents, Charlie and Jalie Anderson, brothers: Enoch and Hugh Donald and sisters: Lucille Blakely and Mary Anderson.
He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Faye Horner Anderson, daughter: Linda (John) Turner, Son: Donnie (Regina) Anderson, grandchildren: Caleb Turner, Jake and Allison Anderson all of Morristown, Brother: Allen (Ruth) Anderson of Rogersville, Sisters: Nola Antrican of Sneedville, Edna Nix of Knoxville, and Evelyn (Ronald) Gillenwater of Church Hill, several nieces and nephews, relatives and special friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 14, 2011 5:00-8:00 pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, August 15, 2011 1:00 pm at Westview Baptist Church, Lennie Ave, Morristown with burial to follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Rev. Lee Seal, Rev. Randy Epps and Rev. Curtis Seal officiating. Nephews, Charles Anderson, Mike Antrican, Ed Anderson, Tony Nix, Mark Anderson, Ed Greene and Emory Greene will serve as Pall Bearers.
