Ben Murphy

BEN ROSS MURPHY, age 56 of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2013 at UT Medical Center. He was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Ben was a driver for Wal-Mart Transportation DC6839. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Edith Ruth Murphy and brother, Roy Lee Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Valerie Murphy; daughter, Chelsia (Randall) Blackwell of Morristown; granddaughter, Alli Blackwell of Morristown; brothers, David (Gloria) Murphy and Jim (Barb) Murphy; sister-in-law, Kathy Murphy; nieces and nephews; Sherry Murphy, Laura Murphy and Jason Murphy. Several great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of special friends from Wal-Mart. Father and Mother in law; Clayton and Peggy Vanover. Brothers in Laws; Lee Vanover of Rogersville and Thad Vanover of Moshiem.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 6 until 8 pm. with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. O’dell Davidson officiating. The family will meet at Stubblefield Funeral Home on Sunday at 1:15 p.m. to go to Cedar Creek Cemetery for a 2 p.m graveside service. Pallbearers will be Roger Trent, Charlie Brown Jordon, Joe Dean, Terry Rader, Ronnie Cline, Michael Buchann Jr., Larry Wilson and Eddie Davis. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements.
