Wesley Edward Mallory Jr.

Wesley Edward Mallory Jr., age 46, of Morganton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Wesley was born the son of the late Wesley Edward Mallory, Sr. and Patsy Alexander on October 12, 1976 in Hanover County, Virginia.

Wesley was loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was an employee of the City of Morganton. He enjoyed playing guitar, watching his son play football and NASCAR.

Along with his parents, Wesley is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ivy Pearl Patterson Mallory and a cousin, Kim Chandler.

Those left behind to cherish Wesley's memory include his wife, Shannon Mallory; a son, Isacc Mallory; three daughters, Katelyn Branch and her husband Tyler, Synthia Adams and her husband Nicholas and Makhyla Mallory; five grandchildren, Karmin, Kayson, Ellie, Barrett, and one on the way; two sisters, Rose Smith and her husband Billy and Peggy Mallory; his step-mother, Judy Mallory; an uncle Lesley Mallory and his wife Karen Freeman; seven nieces and nephews, Brian Ripka, Britany Hicks, William Smith, Jr., Travis Smith, John Quick, Elizabeth Quick and Andrew Quick; a father-in-law, Roger Yelton; and a bother-in-law, Timmy Yelton. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends form 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday evening at Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton. A "Celebration of Wesley's Life" will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
