Vinita was born in Lenoir, North Carolina on December 21, 1969 to Thelma Carlton Dula and the late John Wilbur Dula, Sr. Vinita enjoyed music, dancing, photography, and writing poetry; and she loved spending time with her nieces & nephews and her two dogs. She was a very generous and kind hearted person who never knew a stranger. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of many people around the world.
Survivors include her mother, Thelma Dula of Moravian Falls; two brothers, Edward Dula and wife Alison of Morganton and John Dula, Jr. of Moravian Falls; four sisters, Monica Dula of Lenoir, Angela Dioum of Moravian Falls, Patrice Dula of Morganton, and Margaret Dula of Morganton; two nieces, Alyssia Johnson of Greensboro and Amber Rhyne of Marion; four nephews, Crestian Johnson of Morganton, Jonathon Rhyne of Marion, Brandon Denny of Lenoir, and Keysean Michaux of Morganton; a great niece, Ava Lytle; and a great nephew, Dax Lytle, both of Marion.
A funeral will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Memorial Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home in Morganton with Pastor Ed Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
