Terry Wayne Clarke

Terry Wayne Clarke, age 60, of Lenoir, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5th 2011 while in the care of the Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Terry was born to Wayne Clarke and Hazel Greene Clarke on June 26th 1951 in Burke County. He was a member of the Horizon Church, and was a retired mental health social worker. Terry honorably served his country in the US Air Force. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Terry will be greatly missed.

Terry is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Clarke.

Those left behind to cherish Terry’s memory include his wife, Kimberly Watson-Holden of the home; his mother, Hazel Clarke of Morganton; a daughter, Megan Clarke Nelson and her husband, Drue of Cheyenne, WY; two sons, Samuel Clarke of Cheyenne and Zachary Holden and his wife, Erika of Ft. Stewart, GA; two grandchildren, Vera Kate Holden and Braylen Lane Nelson (expected 03/03/2012); two sisters, Lynn Withers and her husband, Dr. Abner Withers of Salisbury and Pamela Pritchard and her husband, Randy of Glen Alpine; and his mother-in-law, Vera Watson of Lenoir. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services with be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 8th 2011 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Fortune officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. The committal will be private with Military Honors.
