He was born to the late Roosevelt Berry and Dorothy Avery Berry on May 06, 1965, in Burke County.
Rodney graduated from East Burke High School class of 1983. He served in the National Guard, member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and was a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and Carolina Tar Heels.
In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene and Keith Berry.
Those left to cherish his memoires is his daughter; Janavelle Berry, sisters; Mildred Wright-Hawkins, Meta Flecther (Harvey), nieces, Tamara Wright-Maharaj, Tonya Garris (Shawn), Tasha Kissler (Tony), Kai Wingfield (Adam), Michelle Honeycutt (Alton) and Kim Fletcher, nephew, Christopher Fletcher, also surviving is aunt, Mildred Rankin and uncle, Herman Avery along with a host of relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 08, 2022, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Kenneth Falls officiating.
The Family will receive friends at the home of Mildred Wright-Hawkins.
The Berry Family has entrusted Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton with arrangements.
