Paula Caldwell Frazier, 55, of Charlotte formerly of Morganton was granted her wings Thursday, December 3, 2020. She was born February 27, 1965 in Valdese, NC to the late Paul Caldwell and Gladys Davis Caldwell of Morganton.
She retired from the state of North Carolina after 20 years of service as a dietician supervisor.
During retirement, she loved spending time with her grandbabies, singing gospel music, traveling, and relaxing at the beach whenever possible. She was a source of great joy and laughter for everyone she encountered.
In addition to her father, Paula was preceded in death by her son, DeShaun Frazier and sister, Janet Cantrell.
Paula is survived by her mother, Gladys Davis Caldwell, her loving husband, Roosevelt Frazier Jr., of nine and a half years, their children Glenn Wakefield Jr., Cierra Wakefield, and Njera Frazier; sisters, Dorothy Johnson (Danny), Barbara Hooper (Reginald), Andrea Keller (Billy), Yvonne McDonald (Isaiah), Gwen Lundy (Gerald); eight grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced during the visitation and funeral service, visits will be limited to 10 minutes or less. The 1pm service will be attended by immediate family only, in order to ensure that social distance is maintained. Family and friends are encouraged to view the service via live stream. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 12, 2020 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
