Emily Ann (Armstrong) Banner

Emily “Ann” Armstrong Banner, 57, of Morganton died Friday, May 07, 2021 her loving husband Stephen Banner, mother Omeilla Armstrong and family by her side. Emily was born to Omeilla Armstrong on September 21, 1963 in Burke Co.

Emily worked in health care for many years she was a very caring person and always willing to help when needed.

Ann had a short circle of friends, but if you was her friend then you was part of that circle.

Ann always talked about her grandmother Myrtle Connelly.

Along with her grandmother Myrtle Connelly, Emily was preceded in death by her grandson Jy’ Air Boyd.

Those left to cherish her memories is her loving husband Stephen Banner, mother; Omellia Armstrong, daughter; Lee Manning, brothers; Perry Connelly (LaKita), Charles Armstrong (Lolita), grandchildren, Kayla Cline, Caleb Cline, also a very special friend Shetayga Cline, along with her step children, cousins other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at New Bethel Baptist Church of Morganton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The funeral service will be live streamed on Kirksey Funeral Home and Cremation Service facebook page.

Due to COVID-19 masks and social distance will be required.
