Brian Eddie Cash

Brian was born the son of Herbert Eddie Cash and Lola Marie Fleming on September 7, 1974 in Morganton, NC.

Brian is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Fleming, sr.; paternal grandparents, C.D. Cash and Annie Sue Logan; paternal uncles, Larry Cash and Dana Cash; and a special cousin, Anthony “Ankie” Fleming.

Brian was loved by so many. He enjoyed cooking, working in construction, on cars and installing audio equipment. Brian always looked out for his family and wanted to be the boss of everyone. He loved his grandmother Willa Fleming with everything in him, and always made sure she was taken care of when he came to visit. Brian had a “Heart of Gold” and would do anything for anyone. He would give his last to anyone in need. Everyone will truly miss Brian.

Those left behind to cherish Brian’s memory include his mother, Lola Marie Fleming, married to James Brown of Morganton; his father, Herbert Eddie Cash , married to Mary Cash of Columbia, SC; two sons, Jared Sims of Spartanburg, SC and Aquil Glass of Morganton; two sisters, Brandy Somerville (Stanley) and Ta’Shalia Reid, all of Morganton; three brothers, Shawn Cash of Morganton, Taewon Cash and C.D. Cash, both of Columbia, SC; a grandmother, Willa Fleming of Morganton; six aunts, Barbara Cole (Maurice) of Germantown, MD, Terry Fleming of Morganton, Maggie Cash and Shirley Cash of Pittsburgh, PA, Marilyn Cash of Wake Forest and Rosie Cash of Forest City; and six uncles, Charles Fleming, Jr. of Morganton, Leon Cash of Pittsburgh, PA, Eugene Cash of Morganton, Tommy Cash of Oregon, Nelson Cash of Morganton and Marcus Cash of Forest City. Brian is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a father figure while growing up, Mack Reid.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Hillman serving as Presiding Minister. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Morganton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till service time at the funeral home.
