Angela Diane Turnmire

Angela Diane Turnmire, age 58, of Morganton, North Carolina passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023. Angela was born January 9, 1965 to Linda Mae Howell Turnmire and the late Ernest Lynn Turnmire, Jr.

Angela loved to watch cartoon, especially Disney cartoons.

In addition to her father, Angela was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Ann Turnmire Simmons, maternal grandparents, Mary Lou and William Henry Howell, paternal grandparents, Ernest Greene and Fannie Irene Turnmire, numerous aunts, Mary Sue Howell Patton, Sheila Pauline Howell Carden, and Evelyn Turnmire Pendergrass and many other family members.

In addition to her mother, Angela is survived by two uncles, Sammy Howell, Nelson Turnmire; eight cousins, Jason Howell, Michael Patton, David Turnmire, Lisa Turnmire, Cindy Turnmire Smith, Patty Turnmire, April Turnmire, Connie Turnmire and Robert Turnmire, an aunt, Brenda Davis; and a "second mom" and caregiver, Ilan DeVinney. Angela is also survived by a host of other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Morganton with a "Celebration of Angela's Life" will follow in the funeral home's chapel. Angela will be laid to rest in Burke Memorial Park.
